From Supported Pregnancy to Solo Mom

My pregnancy journey was filled with love and guidance. There were countless resources and support groups. But after giving birth, everything changed. Suddenly, I was facing a whole new set of challenges – sleep deprivation, endless feedings, and the constant question of "am I doing this right?"

The Missing Village: Where'd Everyone Go?

While my husband was amazing, like most partners, he had to return to work. Breastfeeding, something I committed to, turned out to be a learning curve I wasn't fully prepared for. One hospital lactation consult wasn't enough, and being the first in our family to breastfeed meant I lacked the wisdom of experienced mothers.

Finding Resources (and a Lack Thereof)

As a nurse, I was fortunate to have friends and some resources at my disposal. But facing the reality of limited postpartum support, it became clear: the village we hear so much about seems to have disappeared.

Building Our Own Village: One Mom at a Time

That's why I created this space. This "village" is for moms like you and me – women who deserve support, encouragement, and a shoulder to lean on during this transformative time.
